Jordan went back to dance class Wednesday… it’s the first class since we missed her big holiday recital because we were in Chicago last month building her newest helper arm. When Jordan got to class today, her teacher told me the dancers all couldn’t stop asking about Jordan’s arm. Near the end of class, she came out of class and asked if she could show off her arm.
I ran out to the car, snagged it and put her chilly arm on so she could show it off. The kids asked great questions, Jordan let them touch her new arm and she was very proud.
After class, Jordan took her arm off and started getting her coat on. One of the little girls was showing off Jordan’s arm to her mom when the mom looked over to see Jordan zipping up her coat all by herself.
“Well, she’s determined,” the mom said.
Heck yeah she’s determined. She’s the picture of determination.

This is great! Jordan rules.
Good for her! They make ya proud don’t they? My daughter was born w/out her left hand and lower arm. She plays the violin, dances, and snowboards! They are so amazing!
Cute picture. What a great learning experience for all of the kids.
Hi Jen, what a sweetie and cutie pie Jordan is. How wonderful for her to show off her arm. She is so proud of it….what a good thing!
I was informed about your website today via my daughter, Marisa, who was also born with a limb difference 19 years ago! Marisa has “liked” your Facebook page. I am so thankful for you and your website and blog. How fortunate parents are to have this available as a resource. Not the case 19 years ago. Would love to be in contact with you and share experiences and stories…..Jordan will be just fine even when you’re not sure.
Hi Cyndi! It’s wonderful to meet you and I’m so glad Marisa found this site. I’d love your perspective. I’ll email you. The older Jordan gets, the more sure I am that Jordan is going to be just fine.
